TOWARDS THE CONSTRUCTION OF COLOR
Prisms of Light is an ongoing research series that explores the interaction between light, color, and perception through triangular volumen as prisms, illuminated with RGB lighting. Through the study of additive color synthesis, new chromatic configurations have emerged that go beyond traditional color mixtures, revealing unexpected nuances, transitions, and visual phenomena.
As the volumes increase, the sensation of luminous expansion intensifies, making the colors appear to extend beyond the surface of the artwork. When the prisms are arranged in regular patterns, shadows and reflections multiply, generating complex structures of light, color, and form that continuously transform the perception of space.
This research serves as the foundation for a larger-scale installation currently in development, where these optical phenomena will unfold in an immersive environment, expanding the dialogue between the artwork, the surrounding space, and the viewer.
